Deep UV LED 

Compared to large-scale UV lamp units currently commercial available in the marketplace, compact solid state deep UV light sources would provide the potential for major industrial and commercial applications with unique advantages due to their pure spectral peak profile, longer life, less power consumption, and compactness. Some immediate applications include water and air purification, equipment/personnel decontamination, and food processing.  Other foreseen medical applications range from pharmaceutical production, hospitals and clinics, to pathology labs.
